Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Are stones treated with Easihold suitable for areas with garden furniture?

No, for areas with garden furniture, a resin-bound surface (stone carpet) would be more suitable.

Does Easihold work on mulch?

Yes! It effectively binds mulch as well.

How long should it stay dry after application?

The longer Easihold is allowed to dry, the better. Ideally, Easihold should dry for 48 hours without rain to ensure optimal results.

Is this product UV resistant?

Yes, Easihold is fully UV resistant.

Is the product flammable?

No, Easihold is a water-based product and is non-flammable.

If the product is unused, how long can it be stored?

The shelf life of unopened Easihold is 12 months. After opening, we recommend storing it in a cool, dry place.

Will it work if the stones are dirty or muddy?

No, dirt and mud will prevent a good bond between Easihold and the stones. We recommend washing the stones first and allowing them to dry.

Can Easihold be used on a driveway?

No! Easihold is not suitable for vehicle traffic loads.

Can stones treated with Easihold be cleaned with a high-pressure washer?

We do not recommend cleaning with a high-pressure washer, as the strong pressure can damage the stones. However, cleaning with warm water is suitable.

How long will Easihold last on my stones?

The durability depends on your usage intensity. When applied and dried properly, Easihold is expected to last up to 24 months. We recommend reapplying annually.

Would Easihold be suitable for 20 mm stones?

Easihold is ideal for stones ranging from 4 mm to 10 mm in diameter. Larger stones can still be successfully bonded, but durability decreases with bigger sizes, so we do not recommend walking on treated surfaces with larger stones.

How long should I wait after the first coat?

Easihold dries by air, so it’s important not to oversaturate the treated area. Allow the first coat to dry for 24 hours or until completely dry before applying the second coat.

At what depth does Easihold work?

Easihold is effective up to a maximum depth of 25 mm. A depth of around 20 mm is generally ideal for stones treated with Easihold.

Does Easihold create a wet-look effect?

Easihold provides a protective sheen without creating a wet look. It’s better described as a matte or satin finish.

Does it leave the surface permeable to water?

The surface remains fully permeable to water.
