ECCOfence Alubox all-in-one kit contains the wire mesh panels, sides (which are also the feet), top profile in aluminum and galvanised ties (which prevent the gabion from deforming over time). For the installation you need to provide a concrete foundation or ring beam (taking bearing capacity into account) or install with fast-setting concrete and the ground anchor. You can purchase anchor bolts, nuts and screws yourself from a dealer of your choice.

CAN BE ASSEMBLED AND FILLED ON SITE

You don’t need a crane or forklift to install ECCOfence Alubox gabions! You can easily assemble and fill the gabion yourself. ECCOfence Alubox gabions can be filled with ECCOfence stones (Belgian Blue, Rouge Belge, Carrara split, Grafrado, Lava or Balthasar) or you can choose another stone (size between 40 and 100 mm) or wood chips of your choice.

LITTLE LOSS OF SPACE DUE TO MODERATE WIDTH

ECCOfence Alubox gabions are only 16.5 cm wide. As a result, they provide only a slight loss of space and can also be used as a garden table or garden bench.

ECCOfence Alubox gabions have aluminum sides and an aluminum top profile, giving this gabion a very trendy look. The panels of ECCOfence Alubox are galvanised.

EASY & QUICK INSTALLATION

ECCOfence Alubox gabions were designed to be as user-friendly as possible. ECCOfence Alubox gabions can be assembled in no time. No need to fiddle with hundreds of clamps to fasten the various parts together and expensive pliers. Moreover, the panel is already adjusted to the height of your gabion. So Alubox 190 has a panel that is 190 cm high. This way, there is no need to place several overlapping panels on top of each other, making the stones less visible. The wire meshes are 50 x 50 mm, allowing you to choose from a wide range of stones.

EASY CUSTOMISABLE

ECCOfence Alubox has a standard length of 201 cm. Do you only need a wall of about 1 meter length? No problem! You can easily customise the gabion, by trimming the base with a disk cutter and the panels with a pair of cutters. After adjustment, spray it with zinc alu spray!

FENCE

ECCOfence is the ideal solution for fencing or the replacement of traditional fencing in wire or wood. ECCOfence is a high quality product that requires virtually no maintenance and has a very long lifespan (unlike wood, for example, that can eventually discolour or even rot). ECCOfence involves little loss of space (Alubox only 16.5 cm wide and KIT & PRO 20 cm) without sacrificing safety. ECCOfence consists of full wire mesh panels, up to a height of 200 cm, so you don’t have the noticeable transitions that occur with block fencing).

RETAINING WALL

ECCOfence can also be used as retaining walls, thanks to their anchoring in concrete they have a very high load-bearing capacity. You just need to apply a cloth where the soil presses against the gabion to avoid leaching and you’re done.

ECCOfence Alubox kit includes the following items: 2 aluminum sides (L-profile) with EN AW-6060 T66 alloy and tolerance according to EN 755-9. Width of the side is 16.5 cm (= width of gabion). The side with L-profile also contains 2 holes for the M12 anchor bolts or ground anchor M12 (both optional to order). 2 wire mesh panels: these are made from 340 g/m² zinc-aluminum alloy. The meshes are 4 mm wide and  50 x 50 mm. Connecting ties (12 for Alubox 40, 18 for Alubox 90, 36 for Alubox 140 and 48 for Alubox 190): these are specially designed so that the panels are fixed both outwards and inwards. This prevents the panels from falling against each other during filling and ensures that they will not bend over time.
The following items can be ordered optionally:
4 M12 anchor bolts per gabion: these have a 12 mm diameter drill hole and a depth of 85 mm. One anchor bolt can bear 2,150 kg, which is an enormous amount of weight. Feel free to purchase the wedge bolts from another manufacturer. Because the anchor bolt must be sufficiently anchored, it should always be set in concrete (min. 350 kg cement/m³). So this may not be anchored with stabelised sand 
OR
1 ground anchor per gabion+ 1 additional ground anchor for the first gabion: each ground anchor contains 4 M12 bolts (height 670 mm), as well as a base (250 x 150 x 5 mm) and fitting plate (125 x 100 x 1 mm). The advantage of the ground anchor is that you can work with fast-setting concrete (curing time is only 2h)
The ideal size for filling ECCOfence ALUBOX, depending on the shape of the stones, is between 40mm and 90mm. The required filling expressed in m³ is:
ECCOfence Alubox 40: 0,14 m³
ECCOfence Alubox 90: 0,31 m³
ECCOfence Alubox 140: 0,49 m³
ECCOfence Alubox 190: 0,66 m³
